[SPORTING - SOUTH CAROLINA] RUTLEDGE, ARCHIBALD. Old Plantation Days. Cumberland, Maryland: The Eddy Press, [1905]. First edition, one of 500 copies, signed by the author. Publisher's green cloth backed gray boards, title stamped on upper board in black, gilt spine title. 8 x 5 1/4 inches (20.5 x 13.75 cm); 160 pp., frontispiece, plate. Rubbing and wear to extremities, boards a bit scuffed, contents with light toning and occasional foxing, faint offsetting from frontispiece, a few short marginal tears not affecting text.

A signed copy of Rutledge's scarce first book, reportedly published in an edition of only 500 copies. This book and the 1921 Rutledge book of the same name are different works.
