New York: Frederick A. Stokes, [1911]. First American edition, from the English sheets. Original publisher's pictorial cloth. 9 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches (24 x 16.5 cm); xvi, 429 pp., with photogravure portrait, folding map, 10 plates, 120 photo illustrations in the text. A generally bright copy, though with a small nick to the front joint, minor scratches to rear board; partially unopened.

A rather heavy book, this is a better copy than most encountered. The American edition has a cancel title, but uses the same binding design (with a substitute imprint) as the English. Yakushi E106.
