St. Vincent 1895 Registered cover to England, then redirected to Berlin, the cover bears an interesting combination of four different St. Vincent issues tied by SP 27 95 Kingston St. Vincent cancels, a 1 1/2 penny Gr. Britain surface printed tied by the Registered oval, and a Gr. Britain 2 1/2 penny was added as Dues payment to forward the cover to Berlin, with an indistinct cancel, Very Fine and Unusual piece.

NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's auction of Coins, Stamps, Gold Medals & Collectibles on April 9, 2024 saw competive bidding drive strong prices as the sale total far surpassed expecations. Showcased were U.S. and World numismatic and philatelic rarities from collections in the New York area and other regions of the country.

A group of rare Iranian Stamps, Coins and Medals performed exceptionally well at the sale, led by a set of seventeen gold medals commemorating the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran that achieved $36,000, exceeding its $25,000-30,000 estimate. A three-piece set of gold and enameled stamps commemorating the 1967 Coronation of the Imperial Couple estimated at $8,000-10,000, realized $16,940. And a 1976 Mothers’ Day gold medal estimated at $8,000-10,000 sold for $14,520.
