NEW YORK, NY – Doyle is honored to auction property from the Estate of Renee Meyers as a special section of the Doyle at Home auction on December 20, 2023. Showcased are 126 lots of furniture, decorations and art from her elegant Manhattan apartment decorated by her close friend Albert Hadley, co-founder of the legendary design firm Parish-Hadley.
Born in New York City, Ms. Meyers had a successful career in the interior design and antiques industries. Her vast expertise and interest in design grew as she worked with a variety of well-known interior designers for over 60 years. She began her career at McMillen, Inc., later working with Garrick Stephenson, and finally Patterson Flynn and Martin, where she worked until her retirement in 2018.
Ms. Meyers graduated from The Calhoun School in 1947 and later served on its Board of Directors for many years. She was also active in a number of organizations and clubs, including the Decorators Club and the Regency Whist Club where she enjoyed playing bridge. She was an animal lover and world traveler who spent many summers in Capri, Italy.
