SPECIALIST
Samira Farmer joined Doyle in 2005 as the Business Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Advisory in Washington, DC. Ms. Farmer aids in business development, estate appraisals and general evaluations through-out the Mid-Atlantic region.
Ms. Farmer has over fifteen years of experience in the auction, appraisal and antiques industry. She managed the Department of Decorative Arts & Silver for Sloan’s Auction Co. in Miami, Fl. Ms. Farmer relocated to California, and spent several years in Los Angeles where she worked as a research assistant for Beverly Hills Appraisals and as the Inventory Coordinator for Amphora Arts & Antiques on Rodeo Drive.
In 2005, Ms. Farmer received her M.A. from Parson’s School of Design in the History of Decorative Arts with a focus in 20th Century Furniture and Industrial Design. In addition, she has completed courses in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts/ Connoisseurship through George Washington University on 18th Century Porcelain, Antique Clocks, and French and Russian Decorative Arts through Hillwood Museum.
