Set of Twelve Baccarat Lagny Multicolored Glasses
I absolutely love color cut to clear glass wine goblets. Especially when there is a mix of colors. I actually prefer when there are a mix of styles as well: that is, when only two or three match and they have different stems and cuts to the bowls. Buy a set of 12 like this and then add a few random ones here and there to mix it up. Your guests will comment on the variety too and likely start a discussion among themselves comparing them. Set of Eight Alvin Sterling Silver Julep Cups
Who doesn’t love a frosty silver cup. When you use a sterling silver cup for a mint julep or any other chilled iced drink, the cup will frost and stay very very cold. They keep cold far better than a glass tumbler. Just hold it by the rim to keep the frosty exterior. I have a collection of 30 or more of these that are random and non-matching which are great for Derby parties or any kind of event where a very cold drink is appropriate. They can go in the dishwasher too. View Lot 145
Gorham Sterling Silver Décor Pattern Flatware Service
A very underrated pattern of flatware. This pattern is a great transitional style which can be used with traditional things as well mid-century tableware. It’s a perfect pattern to use everyday. It can be dressed up with formal porcelain or dressed down with Fiesta Ware. Or use it with plain white oversized plates. Put it on a tailored cloth or place mats for a classic look, or a 1950’s printed cloth for a festive party look. It works well with floral etched 1940’s elegant glassware and modern Steuben or Crate and Barrel glassware. View Lot 29
English Porcelain Botanical Dessert Service
These beautiful individual hand painted and all different plates are great to mix with other dinnerware on the table. While made for dessert, they’re also great for a salad that has some fruit in the mixture. View Lot 17
Herend Porcelain Rothschild Bird Pattern Table Service
One of my all time favorite patterns of porcelain. It’s like LV for the table. Everyone recognizes it. It’s readily available. It’s expensive and everyone knows it. If you’re a savvy auction shopper, you can acquire it at a fraction of retail and no one will be the wiser. View Lot 65
Wallace Sterling Silver Punch Bowl and Set of Twelve Wallace Sterling Silver Julep Cups
Two treasures in one lot. These big sterling bowls are so versatile. Aside from using them for punch, they are great to fill with ice at large parties and fill with bottles of champagne or beer. This one being plain, goes with modern as well as traditional décor. And these beakers! Our colleague and friend Hilary Pitts who represents Doyle in NC has some of these and she uses them daily for cold beverages. They keep things far colder than a glass. She keeps hers in the kitchen beside the water tap and puts them in the dishwasher. View Lot 70
