WASHINGTON, DC -- Doyle’s DC/Mid-Atlantic Office is expanding! After 20 years in Georgetown, we are moving to a larger location in nearby Kensington, Maryland, close to the famed Antiques Row neighborhood. The move is effective as of October 1, 2018.
Doyle’s DC/Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Reid Dunavant and Business Manager Samira Farmer will continue to provide Doyle’s full range of auction and appraisal services to collectors, families and fiduciaries throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. They regularly advise clients on the appraisal and sale of personal property at auction, as well as host Consignment Days in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Over the years, Doyle has been privileged to auction numerous prominent estates from the Washington, DC area. These include the estates of legendary journalist Howard K. Smith, Founding Director of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Roger L. Stevens, Director of the Smithsonian Institution S. Dillon Ripley, Washington hostess Mary Kay “Polly” Fritchey, Princess Dorota Drucka Lubecka (Dorothy 'Doda' deWolf), Ambassador Laurence A. Steinhardt, and Ambassador Nicholas Ruwe.

The new, larger premises in Kensington, Maryland facilitates the expansion of Doyle’s Hayloft Auction division into the Mid-Atlantic region. The timed online-only auctions of furniture, décor and art hosted on HayloftAuctions.com attract prominent decorators, dealers and DIYers alike with affordable starting bids. Established in the Bronx, New York in 2015, Hayloft Auctions will host regular online-only auctions from our new Kensington warehouse beginning this fall. Hayloft Auctions/DC buys estates and collections large and small throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
