About This Location
Doyle has maintained a strong presence in the greater Washington, DC area for over twenty years. During this time, Doyle has been privileged to auction prominent estates and collections from our nation’s capital. Among them were the collections of longtime Kennedy Center chairman Roger Stevens and his wife, conservationist Christine Stevens; Smithsonian Secretary S. Dillon Ripley; former Ambassador to Russia Nicholas Ruwe; arts philanthropist Polly Fritchey; journalist Howard K. Smith; society hostess Dorothy 'Doda' deWolf; jewelry from the collection of Alice Appleton Hay, daughter-in-law of Secretary of State John Hay; and property from the personal collections of C.W. and Marjorie Merriweather Post housed at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens.
We regularly meet with collectors, fiduciaries, heirs and curators throughout the Mid-Atlantic states to discuss the appraisal of property and its subsequent sale in our New York salerooms to our global client base. Additionally, we host appraisal days in our Georgetown office and in communities elsewhere in the region.
We facilitate the entire appraisal and auction process, making it convenient for you or your client to achieve maximum results at auction in the global market. This personalized, professional service, combined with effective international marketing, results in setting world auction records in a variety of collecting categories.
We invite you to contact us to discuss your appraisal and auction needs – from an estate appraisal to the sale at auction of a collection of jewelry or a home filled with furniture and art.
Please call us for additional information on our services or to schedule an appointment. We look forward to working with you.
