George III Ormolu Striking and Musical Shelf Clock
Late 18th century
The white enameled dial signed Eardley Norton, London with Roman and Arabic chapters, 3 winds, chime/not chime and musical selection subsidiary dials, inscribed Eardley Norton London, surmounted by a painted scene in the arch, the beaded and molded case surmounted by flaming urn finials, the base applied with drapery swags over enleafed bracket feet, the elaborately engraved clockworks inscribed Eardley Norton London.
Height 14 inches (35.6cm), width 9 3/4 inches (24.8cm), depth 7 1/2 inches (19.1cm).
