Also present are four vintage souvenir photograph holders, one from Copacabana and three from Latin Quarter; and a copy of Restaurant News Nino's Continental of Palm Beach and Club du Moulin Rouge, circa 1940s. Excellent condition overall.

A great collection of original photographs and items from the famous "El Morocco" nightclub in Manhattan, which flourished in the post-prohibition age under the careful oversight of owner John Perona. The large group of photographs really bring the objects to life as we see celebrities and other fashionable people of era enjoying the club, dancing, smoking, and occasionally enjoying a meal. Many of the photographs were likely taken by in-house photographer Jerome Zerbe, the original paparazzi, as Perona knew that seeing prominent people enjoying the club in the newspapers the following day guaranteed to bring more celebrities to the club. Shown in the photographs here are: Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Jack Dempsey, Audrey Hepburn, Charlie and Oona O'Neill Chaplin, Kirk Douglas, John Wayne, Clark Gable, Salvador Dali, Jackie Gleason, Yul Brynner, Marlene Dietrich and others.
