Later dark brown leather spine with gray boards, gilt spine title, original rear wrapper bound in. 7 x 4 5/8 inches (18 x 12 cm); 83, [1] pp., portrait frontispiece and one illustration, 8 pp. ads at rear. Frontispiece and rear wrapper moderately soiled, without front wrapper, lower corner missing on frontispiece and title, then dog eared on the following few leaves, contents lightly toned..

"An early piece on the beginnings of settlement on the west coast of Florida, below Tampa." Streeter,1264; Clark, New South, I:231.
