Two Sèvres Porcelain Rose and Garland Coffee-Cans and Saucers (Gobelet Litron et sa Soucoupe, 4eme Grandeur)
Circa 1775, blue interlaced L's marks enclosing an indistinct date letter, painter's five dot mark to one for Fontaine and four dots to another for Théodore
Each painted with scattered rose blossoms within bands of berried laurel vine, gilt dentil rims. Height of can 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm), diameter of saucer 4 1/8 inches (10.2 cm).

Théodore Buteaux (called Théodore) was recorded as a painter and gilder at Sèvres active 1765-1779.
Jacques Fontaine was recorded as a painter of flowers and ornaments at Sèvres active 1752-1807.
