Sèvres Porcelain Pink and Green Ground Cup and Saucer (Gobelet Hébert et sa Soucoupe)
Circa 1760, blue interlaced L's mark, potter's incised OO and CL
Painted with a bouquet of flowers within a green ribbon surround, reserved on a pink, gilt dentil rims. Height of cup 2 1/8 inches (5.4 cm), diameter of saucer 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).
Traditionally associated with Mme de Pompadour, the combination of pink and green ground colors was the height of fashion on Sèvres porcelain dating 1759-1761.
