Four Sèvres Porcelain Green-Ground (Fond Vert) Sugar-bowls on Integral Stands (Sucrier de Monsieur le Premier)
Circa 1759, trace blue interlaced L's marks, one clearly marked with a date letter F reversed and painter's mark possibly of a comma for Méraud jeune, various incised potter's numerals and letters
Of lobed form, each painted with fruit and flower bouquets within a ciselé gilt trelliswork cartouche, beneath gilt dentil rims. Width 9 1/8 inches (23.2 cm).
Charles-Louis Méreaud or Méraud was a painter of flowers at Sèvres active 1756-1780.
