Vincennes Porcelain Cup and Cover and Saucer (Pot de Crème or Pot à Jus et Couvercle et sa Soucoupe)
Circa 1754, blue interlaced L's mark enclosing the date letter A, painter's mark of three dots for Tandart
The slight ogee cover with branch finial, the leafy terminals enriched in gilt, painted overall with scattered bouquets of flowers, within gilt dentil rims, the footrim with a gilt band. Height 4 1/8 inches (10.4 cm).
Jean Baptist Tandart, l'aîné, was a flower painter at Sèvres active 1754-1805.
