Group of Four Chinese Export Silver Card Cases
19th/ 20th Century
Comprising two shaped rectangular filigree examples, one with a writhing snake in relief to front and a fox in grape leaves and clusters in relief to reverse, height 4 1/8 inches (10 .5 cm), the other with a dragon in relief to front and fish and bat in relief to reverse, height 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm); one marked Wang Hing, 1890s, with figures in a landscape and cranes in a bamboo thicket, height 3 inches (7.5 cm); and an example with a pierced foliate cover, the reverse engraved with bamboo, length 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), total approximately 6 ounces.

Wang Hing - good condition overall; good detail to decoration; faces retain detail; blank cartouche, but no sign of erasue; clearly hallmarked
Pierced cover - hallmarked with Chinese character; good detail to decoration; some bending to hinge
