William Elliott, London, 1815
William III style with part fluted cylindrical body, with ovolo bands to foot and rim, with an acanthus-clad scroll handle, the hinged cover with a pierced thumbpiece. Height 7 1/4 inches, approximately 33 ounces.

Provenance:
Sotheby's New York, 22 October, 2002, lot 559

The arms are those of Strutt impaling Walker for Jedediah Strutt of Belper.
