Art Deco Gold, Black Onyx, Enamel, Mother-of-Pearl, Coral and Turquoise Vanity
The gold and black enamel rectangular case centering a panel of Japonnerie motif depicting gray mother-of-pearl branches and petals with round cabochon fluted coral blossoms, against a mother-of pearl sky and clouds of pastel hues, in a surround of jasper and vari-colored mother-of-pearl water and hills, acccented by three carved turquoise flowers, the sides of carved black onyx of floral motif, centering 2 round cabochon coral, opening to reveal a mirror, a powder compartment with hinged cover and a hinged lipstick case, with French import mark, circa 1925, enamel loss, ap. 98.5 dwts. gross. 3 5/8 x 2 x 3/8 inches.

Coral blossoms: medium deep slightly pinkish orange, good luster.
Side coral: deep reddish orange, good luster.
Mother-of-pearl, white, gray and brown with visible rose and green orient, good luster.
Turquoise: medium turquoise blue, good luster.
Minor enamel loss on front edges, top panel and scratches on reverse.
