George Jones Majolica Turquoise and Green Ground Strawberry Server
Circa 1876
Impressed GJ monogram, B, 3 and cypher, registry diamond (19-V-G-5) for 19 February 1876, black painted pattern no. 3501/11
Modeled as a large lily pad molded with strawberry briar, resting in a turquoise basket, the handle as bound vine, the sugar and cream bowls as yellow-centered white petaled waterlily blossoms. Width overall 11 inches.
