[London: Published at the Office, 1859-67]. A near consecutive run of 7 (of 9, without 1861 & 1862) Christmas Numbers plus two other works bound in one volume. Contemporary three quarters green morocco gilt over marbled boards, the spine richly gilt, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers. 9 1/4 x 6 inches (24 x 16 cm); no wrappers present. With a contemporary pencil signature dated 1870 and a manuscript list of the contents to the front blanks, light spotting, some rubbing and light wear to binding, not fully collated and sold as is.
Includes: The Haunted House, 1859, 48 pp.; A Message from the Sea, 1860, 48 pp.; Mrs. Lirriper's Lodgings, 1863, 48 pp.; Mrs. Lirriper's Legacy, 1864, 48 pp.; Doctor Marigold's Prescriptions, 1865, 48 pp.; Mugby Junction, 1866, 48 pp.; Dickens, Charles and Wilkie Collins. No Thoroughfare, 1867, 48 pp.; also present but not by Dickens are Tennents at Will, 1864, and Under one Roof, 1867.
