Union Porcelain Works, New York, last quarter 19th century
Molded with a profile portrait of George Washington and bison-head handles. Height 12 5/8 inches.

Provenance:
Christie's, New York, January 15, 2008, lot 721.

Designed by Karl L. H. Mueller, the Century Vase was created for the U.S. Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876.

In good condition. No apparent damage or restoration. Black specking to biscuit areas (panels on lower body, handles, profile of Washington). This lot has not been examined under UV light.
