Magnificent collection of the 1938 Prexies housed in eight National binders, including singles, plate blocks with 1000 different numbers in matched corner positions, Arrow blocks, coils, booklets and covers with many better FDC's, items highlighting the collection are $5 blocks of four (2 used), $2 center line block of 4, plate number block of 20, top arrow block of 4 (2), plate blocks of 4 (16), sides A block of 4, used blocks (2), $1 Top plate block of 20, double top plate block of 12, plate number blocks of 4 (47) and a block of 4 of the 832c red-violet variety, First Day covers are well represented with a nice selection of cacheted, the high values are represented by $1 SS Europa cover, top arrow block of 4 on FDC, plate number blocks of 4 (2), $2 single registered FDC, top arrow block and a single FDC, $5 has a single, and three top arrow block on FDC, a nice group of Exhibition and Naval covers, nine commercial covers, while there is still room to add to the collection this is a mammoth start to this ever popular series, there is also a small selection of the Liberty issues to the $1 values, Fine to Very Fine. A conservative estimate of the Scott catalogue value without premiums would be over $8,000.
