The fluted shaft with flaming finial above three seated putti blowing horns and foliate-cast scrolling branches. Height 40 inches (101.6 cm), diameter 21 inches (53.3 cm).

Very fine quality, apparently unsigned, drilled for electricity, overall good condition but with some branches bent inwards, rubbing to gilding, old marks and scratches, dings and dents; overall height 40 inches; this chandelier is after a model made circa 1780 made for Le Cabinet doré, the private apartment of Marie-Antoinette at the château de Versailles ; see H. Ottomeyer and P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, p. 238, fig. 4.4.1
