Continental Giltwood and Alabaster Center Table
Probably German, circa 1830
The replaced concave-sided alabaster top on a stand with later Bacchic masks flanked by flowerhead and leaf-carved swags, the sides with similar swags, raised on four lions salient, each with raised front paw supporting a cartouche with a monogram and joined by scrolling stretchers centered by an urn with a flaming finial. Height 31 3/4 inches (80.5 cm), width 43 inches (109.3 cm), depth 37 inches (94 cm).
