Coronation of Emperor Nicholas II: Glazed Pottery Jug and Beaker
Sarreguemines, France, 1896
The jug of baluster form, with a scroll handle, the cup tapering cylindrical, each molded with the cypher of Nicholas Alexandrovich beneath the Russian Imperial crown and with the date May 1896, the jug with the inscription in Russian: In Memory of the Holy Coronation of His Imperial Highness, impressed mark and numbers 2707 or 2708 under base. Height of jug 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), height of beaker 5 1/4 inches (13 cm).
