Louis XV Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Green-Painted Bracket Clock
The dial signed 'CH.LES BALTAZAR A PARIS', the backplate engraved 'Ch.les Baltazar Paris', the shaped case surmounted by the seated figure of an Asian man holding an umbrella, the bottom of the hinged glazed door with a dragon, on scrolled feet.
Height 20 3/4 inches, width 11 3/4 inches.

Clock case: wear and rubbing to gilding on mounts; backplate of clock movement is engraved Ch.les Baltazar Paris; has pendulum but no winding key; there are various stress cracks and casting flaws to the metal mounts, including to the figural finial; the front and side glass panels later replacements and one of the side panels is currently detached but present; there is a complete crack to the curved wood element that forms the roof of the part of the clock beneeath the seated Chinoiserie figure; also, a piece of this wood is broken off but is present; etc.
