NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's auction of Prints and Multiples on November 11, 2020 saw strong competition for prints and multiples spanning 17th through the 21st centuries. Opportunities abound in this popular category for seasoned buyers and new collectors alike!
With competitive bidding, the sale totaled a successful $1,039,906, surpassing the pre-sale estimate of $616,400-922,800 with an exceptional 94% sold by lot and 100% by value.
Highlighting the sale was David Hockney's (b. 1937) color lithograph Pool Made with Paper and Blue Ink for Book from 1980 that achieved $43,750, surpassing its estimate of $20,000-30,000.
