circa 1913. Vintage gold-toned print, 8 x 6 inches (203 x 150 mm), embossed credit stamp recto, signed by both the photographer and Tagore in ink on the brown paper mount with impressed border. Some oxidation evident in dark tones, slight crease to the signature corner of the embossed mount..
One of several studies of Sir Rabindranath Tagore done by Curtis, this example signed also by Tagore, the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, in 1913.
