NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle’s auction on May 5, 2020 in the Fine Jewelry category demonstrated the continued buoyancy of the jewelry market. Competition drove strong prices throughout the sale, which showcased a wide array of jewelry by such prestigious makers as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., David Webb, Bulgari, Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels. Among the fine watches were examples by Patek Philippe, Franck Muller, Verdura, Cartier, Corum and Chopard.
With competitive bidding, the sale totaled a successful $762,813, surpassing the pre-sale estimate of $527,750-750,900, with a strong 85% sold by lot and 91% sold by value.
