Modern three-quarters calf, all publisher's wrappers bound in at end. 9 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches (24.5 x 14.5 cm); [vi], 138 pp. 76 hand-colored plates with accompanying text. Title slightly toned, in general a very fresh copy, uncut, with all the parts wrappers (front and back) bound in at the end.
A scarce and rather charming compendium of "New, rare and little-known animal subjects, to quote the wrappers. It is normally found bound in two volumes. Anker 480; Wood 579; Nissen ZBI 3916.
