[CEYLON - HUNTING] [CAMERON, I. L. and BRYANT, GERALD HARVEY] Hunts in Ceylon 1921-1924 [box title]. Collection of six string-bound typescripts detailing hunts in Ceylon, together with related photographs and correspondence.
[Ceylon: 1921-1924]. 10 1/2 x 8 1/8 inches; six bound typescripts, photographs, negatives, 26-page autograph letter, together preserved in custom clamshell box. Some edgewear and fading to typescripts with some surface soiling to wrappers, letter toned with some rust stains, some curving to photos.
The typescripts, written by Cameron, are: "A Shooting Trip To Pollonaruwa. 1921"; "A Shooting Trip to Katagama and Warahanamankada, Ceylon. I.L.C. 1923"; "A Waterhole Shoot In The Northern Province Ceylon" [1923]; "A December Shooting Trip To The Southern Province Reserve. 1923"; "A February Shooting Trip In the Northern Province. 1924"; "A November Shoot. In the Northern Province. I. L. C. 12/12/24." The letter is signed "Gerald" [Gerald Harvey Bryant] and written to his mother, and the photographs are captioned by him as well. Bryant was a tea planter who was a member of the hunting party on these trips.
