Rangoon: Rangoon Gazette Ltd., [circa 1965]. First edition ("For private circulation only"). Original printed wrappers. 7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches; 32 pp.; maps, illustrations after photographs. Some rust where staple-bound, one or two spots to wrappers.
Very rare; no auction records traced and no copies listed in WorldCat. Czech describes a slightly different copy, likely the trade edition. "Henry Byroade was United States ambassador to Afghanistan from 1959 to 1963. He undertook a hunt to the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan in August 1959 after obtaining special permission from the Afghan government. After going as far as his vehicle could take him, he traveled for three days on horseback to get to the hunting camp in the Tuliboi Valley. He collected two young Marco Polo argalis" (Czech).
