Publisher's cloth in dust jacket. 8 3/4 x 5 5/8 inches; xi, 331 pp.; 3 maps (including one folding), frontispiece and plates after photographs, half-title. Jacket with light edgewear and sunning to spine, pale stain to front flap, cloth tips slightly bumped, minor spotting to boards.
"The author and Hanbury-Tracy entered Tibet from Upper Burma in the early summer of 1935, and they turned back and emerged by the Lohit river at Sadiya in Assam, after spending 18 months and travelling 3000 miles across the unknown hinterlands of east Tibet" (Yakushi). Yakushi (1994) K78.
