Tiffany Studios Bronze and Leaded Favrile Glass Geometric and Turtleback Library Lamp
Circa 1910
With a domed shade in mottled semi-opaque green and white colored slag glass at the top transitioning to mottled semi-opaque green and amber glass at the bottom and ending in a turtleback border comprised of twenty-seven opalescent glass tiles, raised on a standard with a central rod surrounded by four slender elongated legs ending in lion paw feet, continuing to a stepped cruciform platform; six-light cluster; shade with affixed tags marked TIFFANY STUDIOS and NEW YORK; base stamped 391 TIFFANY STUDIOS 10941 NEW YORK; pierced metal heat cap. Height overall 31 1/4 inches, height of shade 8 1/8 inches, diameter 21 inches.

Additional Notes & Condition Report
Base: appears to be in generally good condition; the six sockets appear to be old, however, they may be later replacements; the plastic on/off switches are marked WEBER; one of these switches is slightly damaged; lamp is currently wired (later wiring); sockets and wiring not tested; nice, uniform chocolate brown patina with some rust coloration coming through; dulled, soiled patina, particularly, on the top side of the platform base; would benefit from a gentle cleaning and waxing
Heat Cap: may or may not be an original Tiffany Studios heat cap, however, it appears to be; nice uniform chocolate brown patina; slightly pushed in area at the top
Note: In Robert Koch's "Louis C. Tiffany's Glass Bronzes Lamps," Appendix 1 (Price List of 1906), lamp base model 391 is described as: "6 lights, standard, 4-legged claw feet-slide" and the retail price was $100
