[BALLETS RUSSES]: Two Souvenirs from the Debut American Tour of 1916
One from the Metropolitan Opera House, Philadelphia, November 23, 24 and 25, 1916, the other from the Metropolitan Ballet Company, New York.
Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes toured the United States in 1916. Opening at the Century Theater in New York in January, the company performed in sixteen cities and returned to New York's Metropolitan Opera House in April to open their second season.
