Comprises Trees and Other Poems. New York: George H. Doran, (1914). First edition, likely first printing with the terminal blank quire. Inscribed by the poet's mother, Mrs. Kilburn Kilmer, to Monsignor John A. O'Grady, 11th November 1914. Publisher's boards. Spine chipped and defective; A second copy, uninscribed, the spine defective, newspaper clippings tipped in pertaining to Kilmer's death in action; Main Street and Other Poems. New York: George H. Doran, (1917). First edition, with a letter from George H. Doran to the poet's mother, dated October 5, 1917, forwarding a copy of the book (Joyce Kilmer was at this point in France on service, where he would die the following year). Publisher's boards. Light wear, front joint just starting.
