Original drawing for A.A. Milne's The House at Pooh Corner, 1928, published on page 29 of the book. Ink drawing with Chinese white corrections, on Newman's Artist Illustration tablet; depicting Eeyore, Pooh, Piglet, as Tigger tries an overly-enthusiastic mouthful of thistle, signed in ink "E.H. Shepard" (ll), and captioned in pencil below the drawing as titled above. The illustration board approximately 6 7/8 x 10 1/2 inches (37.5 x 26.5 cm), the drawing itself occupying approximately 3 x 7 1/4 inches (8 x 18.5 cm). The margin of the drawing with mat tone. The lower margin of the illustration shows the caption noted above in pencil. Framed.

This is Shepard's original drawing for the illustration from The House at Pooh Corner, from Chapter II "In which Tigger Comes to the Forest and has Breakfast." It was likely prepared in 1926.
