According to Jerome Le Blay, the work is characteristic of the sand casts executed by the Alexis Rudier Foundry between 1930-1940. In the present knowledge of the Comite Rodin, there is only one other example in bronze of this work, also cast by Alexis Rudier, in the former collection of Antonio Santamarina, Buenos Aires.

The work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'Oeuvre Sculpte d'Auguste Rodin, by the Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jerome Le Blay, with the number 2019-6026B
