CASSINI, OLEG Two notebooks of original fashion sketches.
The first a spiral bound notebook containing fashion sketches in pencil or black marker to the recto and verso of approximately 40 leaves thus with drawings to about 80 pages, many with several figures per page and notations on fabrics, etc. 11 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. This notebook lacks its cover, some original smudging to pencil and toned leaves; The second a spiral bound notebook of blank sheets with drawings on approximately 20 pages in mostly pencil, some with several figures to a page, two pages with manuscript notes on New York fabric houses and a few other notes on fabrics throughout. 10 3/4 x 8 inches. Much of the upper cover torn away, some light soiling, toning and original smudging of pencil; Together with a composite sheet of sixteen drawings with fabrics pinned and with some minor ink annotation, creases, spots.
The second notebook contains sketches similar to those prepared for First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and likely date from this important period.
