REAGAN, NANCY Autograph letter signed to Oleg Cassini.
Los Angeles: April 1999 (date from postmark). One page autograph letter signed "Nancy", with original mailing envelope and another slip providing her address. Fine; Together with a group of related political ephemera including a letter from then candidate Reagan and a printed invitation to his presidential inauguration, form letters from Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, etc.
An amusing letter from Mrs. Reagan thanking Cassini for sending his book on Jacqueline Kennedy and commenting: "How lucky she was to have you... I'm sure you know everything could be worn today - if people cared how they looked! I think both Jackie and I felt an obligation to dress well as First Lady - that doesn't seem to be true now!"
