The centerpiece bouquet of multicolored tesserae amidst an oval teal background, framed by black tesserae with pink and green florals, flanked by alternating teal and rust tesserae tiles centering small gold florets, the reverse of geometric design alternating with black tesserae tiles, centering a delicately granulated floret line each centering split pearls, all bordered in slender rope-twist wire, with stylized scroll hinges and clasp, circa 1870, several tesserae missing, ap. 36.5 dwts. Inner circle 6 9/16 inches.
