(i) Possibly executed on paper laid down to panel. A small loss next to the basket. Inpainting in several areas along the edges (one cluster at lower left and another at lower right edges. A third at upper center). Several tiny spots of inpainting in the sky. Two more areas right beneath the balloon where the skirt meets the basket. Dirty varnish layer. Wear along edges due to frame.

(ii) Possibly executed on paper laid down to panel. Inpainting surrounding the balloon, concentrated on the left side, as well as several scattered areas in the sky. More inpainting in the sky beneath the balloon and to the left. Dirty varnish layer. Wear along edges due to frame with a few losses at the edges. Several accretions in the sky.
