George II Gilt-Gesso Mirror
Second quarter 18th century
The beveled rectangular mirror plate within a frame surmounted by a scrolled pediment centered by Prince of Wales feathers, the shaped apron centered by a scallop shell flanked by foliate scrolls and fitted for candle arms. Height 47 inches (119.4 cm), width 26 1/2 inches (67.3 cm).

Good quality with much of the original gesso, mirror plate replaced, rubbing to gilding, especially to bottom edge and apron, small areas with regilding, brass fittings later, cresting appears to be original
