Russian Silver-Gilt Salt Throne
Maker's mark Cyrillic D.I.O., Moscow, 1871
The pierced back in the form of an izbushka, on bracket feet, the square base and hinged seat chased to simulate wood grain, the seat further engraved with Russian sayings, the interior with a dedication inscription in Russian: From the employees of the Association of Tver Manufactory in Moscow, 2 January 1872. Height 4 3/4 inches (12.5 cm).
