Publisher's full red morocco with gilt angling device on upper cover, the spine in six compartments separated by five raised bands, gilt-lettered in two and the device repeated in the rest. 11 x 8 1/4 inches; xxxii, 254 pp.; half-title, limitation page, frontispiece portrait, full-page "Map of Connecticut," in-text "Map of Eastern Group of Trout States," 9 colored plates. Spine and corners rubbed with some loss, marginal toning to endpapers, non-authorial signature to second blank, but overall very attractive.
