Spotting and stray stains; a second copy, contemporary calf, covers detached, manuscript notes at front; [NEW YORK FIRE OF 1845] Die Grosse Feursbrunst zu New-York am 19 Juli 1845, Hamburg, 1845, upper wrapper only, lithographed frontispiece, 27 pp., wrapper detached and with losses, tear to final leaf, scarce, no copy since 1953, Sabin 54299; WOOD, SILAS. A Sketch of the First Settlement of the Several Towns on Long-Island. Brooklyn: 1826. Revised edition, later half red morocco gilt, folding and old stains; and the 1865 edition of the same, number 10 of 50 large paper copies, half red morocco, photographic frontispiece and two other plates, Binding rubbed, shelf marks to foot of spine. The lot 5 volumes.
