Of ovoid shouldered form, painted with a bird of prey perched in a pine tree along with an owl and songbirds above pheasant feeding on the ground, all between bands of flying crane amid swirling clouds, the short neck with an inset fitted stopper with a pine cone finial, the lid with a rabbit form finial, base signed Nihon, Seto, Kato Kichibei. Height 22 inches.
