Two Chinese Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Bowls
Song Dynasty
The first with incised foliate-like design in the interior and raised on a short foot, covered overall with a translucent pale blue glaze suffused with a light crackle, the second with impressed design of chrysanthemum and double fish in the interior with an unglazed rim and covered with a pale blue glaze turned beige in firing. Diameter of larger 7 1/4 inches.

Multiple chips and cracks to both bowls, misfired glaze and kiln grit adhesions to the interior of one bowl, repaired rim chips and two repaired breaks on the other bowl, corresponding hairline cracks.
