, comprising DE VINNE, THEODORE LOW. The Invention of Printing. New York: Hart, 1878. Second edition, inscribed to F.N. Doubleday in 1898. Contemporary three-quarters red morocco. The front endpaper detached; and MATTHEWS, WILLIAM. Modern Bookbinding Practically Considered. New York: Grolier Club, 1889. One of 300 copies. Full morocco gilt, the covers tooled in gilt. Rebacked preserving spine.
De Vinne was a founding member of New York's Grolier Club and he oversaw the printing of Matthew's influential work.
