18 kt., the rounded rectangular compact applied with white enamel pin stripes flanked by black enamel bands decorated with red enamel discs and gold leaf decoration, the interior sliding open to reveal a mirror, writing pad frame, hinged lipstick case and powder compartment, suspended from an oval link chain, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, Paris, with French assay marks, slightly obscured, circa 1920, minor enamel loss, approximately 83 dwts. gross. 2 3/4 x 1 5/8 x 3/8 inches. Length of chain 8 inches. With fitted signed box.
